Quick start

Three steps, two minutes.

1. Get a token

Every request needs the API token we gave you. Don't have one yet? Contact us.

2. Make your first request

This lists games, 5 at a time:

curl "https://api.steam-vault.com/games?per_page=5" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"

You get back a page of games with just their id and name, plus pagination info:

{
  "current_page": 1,
  "data": [
    { "id": 333390, "name": "Tales of Aravorn: Seasons Of The Wolf" },
    { "id": 333420, "name": "Cossacks 3" }
  ],
  "per_page": 5,
  "total": 167231,
  "next_page_url": "https://api.steam-vault.com/games?page=2"
}

3. Add filters and fields

Say you want well-reviewed open world games, with their price and score, most reviewed first:

curl "https://api.steam-vault.com/games?tags=Mundo abierto&min_score=90&min_total_reviews=1000&fieldset=final_price_us,score&sort=total_reviews:desc" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
  • tags, min_score and min_total_reviews are filters — each one narrows the results.
  • fieldset picks which fields come back for each game.
  • sort sets the order.

That's really all there is to it.

Next steps

  • Filtering — how filters combine, and the extra powers of tags.
  • Choosing fields — everything you can get back for each game.
  • Recipes — ready-made requests for common ideas.
